Safe Surgical Instrument Reprocessing for L&D
Project Description: "The use of rigid, punctureÐproof sterilization containers is recommended by the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN). However, L&D was using Kimguard blue-wrapped trays which can easily suffer microscopic tears when moving the sterile sets rendering them unsterile. Since there is a proposal to convert from a wrapped sterilization system to a rigid container system cost analysis is required. Also a policy and process is developed."
